The Case Study

In December 2022, Sygma Automation approached us, Bonner, to provide Duct Temperature & Humidity Transmitters, along with calibration services. The calibration process involved a three-point calibration for both temperature and humidity measurements. For this project, we supplied the calibrated transmitters sourced from Sauerman, a trusted partner.

Our selection as the supplier was based on two key factors. Firstly, we are the authorised distributor of Kimo products in Ireland, which gave us an advantage in terms of product availability and expertise. Secondly, our pricing was highly competitive, making us an attractive choice for Sygma Automation.

It is worth noting that we had previously worked with the client, supplying transmitters a few years ago, and the project was completed successfully. This past experience likely contributed to the client’s confidence in our capabilities and prompted them to engage our services again for their current requirements.

The Response

In addressing our client’s calibration needs, Sauermann played a crucial role as our trusted calibration partner, in addition to us collaborating closely with both our Workshop and Automation teams.

Initially, we faced the challenge of not being able to perform calibration in-house due to the unavailability of the required machine, specifically a Generator. Purchasing this machine solely for the purpose of calibration proved to be economically unfeasible, considering its high cost and limited demand.

To overcome this obstacle, we leveraged our strong partnership with Sauermann, effectively utilising their expertise and resources for direct transmitter calibration. By entrusting our calibration requirements to Sauermann, we not only eliminated the need for a costly one-time purchase but also ensured the accuracy and precision of our transmitters.

This collaborative approach not only saved us substantial expenses but also allowed us to focus our resources to our client to improve efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards in the other aspects of the calibration service.

The Results

In conclusion, we successfully supplied 18 Duct Temperature & Humidity Transmitters, 18 Ambient Temperature & Humidity Transmitters, and 72 3-point calibrations to our client. This achievement showcases our ability to deliver a significant quantity of transmitters within a specified time frame. Furthermore, it emphasises our affiliation with prominent brands in the instrumentation industry, such as Kimo.

This project serves as a testament to our strong partnerships and collaborations. In instances where we may not be able to directly provide certain services, our network of suppliers enables us to fulfill our clients’ requirements. The example of calibration services in this case study exemplifies this collaborative approach. Even if we are unable to perform the calibration ourselves, we can rely on our trusted suppliers to carry out the necessary calibration procedures on our behalf.

Overall, this project demonstrates our capability to meet large-scale demands for transmitters but also underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients. Through strategic partnerships and leveraging the expertise of trusted suppliers, Bonner ensure that our customers receive comprehensive solutions that fulfill their instrumentation needs.
